WEEKLY ANALYSIS

On Monday, the third episode of Blindspot earned a 2.4 rating, following the 3.3 rating of Monday's edition of The Voice. Although Blindspot seems to be falling rapidly, I predict that it will soon stabilize in the low 2s. This would still be good enough for NBC and gives Blindspot a likely chance for renewal.

On Wednesday, The Mysteries of Laura started the night with a 1.1 rating, down from its 1.2 rating for the first and second weeks of the season. This slight drop in ratings only strengthens my decision to label it as certain to be canceled. At 9, Law & Order: SVU notched a 1.6 rating, which made it NBC's highest rating of the night. SVU is solid for NBC and is certain to be renewed. Last but not least, Chicago P.D. earned a 1.5 rating, down from the 1.7 rating for its season three premiere. P.D. was the highest-rated show in the 10 p.m. hour for broadcast networks, showing its worth for certain renewal.

On Thursday, Heroes Reborn led off the night with a 1.2 rating, down from its 1.6 rating last week, and sharply down from the 2.0 rating of its series premiere. I was taking my time to move Reborn off the bubble and this rating finally showed me that this reboot is now likely to be canceled. Because we are only three weeks into the broadcast season, a 1.2 rating is definitely not a good sign for a new show (unless that show is on The CW). The Blacklist garnered a 1.5 rating, down from the 1.8 rating of its season three premiere. The syndication gods demand a fourth season, so The Blacklist is certain to be renewed. At 10, The Player held from last week at a 0.9  rating. Sorry, this rating just doesn't cut it. This show is dead.

On Friday, the season three premiere of Undateable managed a 0.8* rating, down from the 1.3 rating of its season two finale. This number is a lot lower than many people expected, and some even say that it was a complete bomb. I was expecting to put this show on the bubble, but this horrendous rating puts the show as "likely to be canceled."

*Friday's ratings are subject to change
