CBS has ordered a new series for summer 2017, Salvation, after canceling both of their freshman summer series. Season 1 will consist of 13 episodes. Salvation is about an "MIT grad student and a tech superstar who bring a low-level Pentagon official a staggering discovery: an asteroid is just six months away from colliding with Earth."
