'The Biggest Loser' in Danger of Cancellation? L.A. Sheriff Investigates Drug Use on Show

According to Deadline, NBC's hit reality show 'The Biggest Loser' may be in for a rough ride in the near future. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is now investigating claims that illegal and prescription drugs were handed out to contestants on the show to help them lose weight, and many sources report that they will likely be on the losing side of this legal battle.

Does this mean that the 'The Biggest Loser' could be in danger of cancellation? It is definitely a possibility, for this issue has caused a social media outrage toward the show and has hurt the overall "Biggest Loser" brand as a whole.

However, digging even deeper, it is possible that NBC has already quietly canceled the long-running reality show. Deadline reports that "the [show's] set at the huge King Gillette Ranch in Calabasas was dismantled last fall after filming on 'The Biggest Loser: Temptation Nation' wrapped." Does this mean that the show is done for, or could they simply just be building a new set somewhere else? We will find out soon enough...
